Silence

Shed a tear, feel the fear
Close your eyes, embrace that darkness
Let out a sigh, Let all of it flash-

Some of those thrills, some of those mistakes
Some of those little joys, and moments of deep sadness
Are only yours to keep, in your own secret garden;
Hidden for the most part, even from your minds eye.

We are alone in our secret garden,
But not lonely, for each has one's own
Just hidden from each other's realm
Entwined in a strange way-
By the chains of silence

Silence, that guards the others from our garden snakes
Those savage monsters only we can tame
That the order of togetherness be preserved.

Silence, that shields the fragrance of flowers of hope
That it can permeate the numbed senses when despair devours the soul
And stimulate it to life.

A Dream

Look as far as the eyes can see, and then look a little beyond-
There beyond the purple curtains of the evening sky
is nested the land of my dreams.

Where meaning adorns speech and purpose embellishes action,
yet none of these is measured.

Where lives mingle for the the purpose of igniting laughter,
that no soul lones in the cold shadows.

Where work brings joy for all, and food brings satiety to all
and time brings togetherness for all.

Where judgement is not juvenile and criticism is not cruel,
and love for life accepts the dominion of death as its own;
and yet is fearless, free-spirited and timeless.
